About Me

Hi, I’m Janielle Kelly, the designer and owner of J. Kelly Designs. 

I graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from San Diego State and began my career in 2009, working as a Graphic Designer and Art Director in San Diego’s fast-moving corporate and agency scenes. My journey into the wedding and event industry began after designing my best friend’s wedding and a major local event, The Cheese Expo. From that moment, I knew I had found my true calling.

When I’m not designing, you can find me ordering everything off the menu at local restaurants, grooving to live music, taking spontaneous trips, or adventuring with my French Bulldog, Fiona. As a hot sauce enthusiast, DIY project junkie, animal lover, and artist, I bring a natural curiosity to everything I do— always learning, experimenting, and pushing through challenges with tenacity.

At J. Kelly Designs, the focus is on bringing ideas to life in a custom, unique way, so that every little detail is given the attention it deserves. I believe great design should be personal, memorable, and collaborative. It should feel as special as the moments and people it’s made to represent.
